Whether you’ve been Catholic your whole life, are returning after time away, are still learning, or simply wondering whether you know enough to belong, you are welcome here. You don’t need to know anyone, have the right answers, or have everything figured out before you come. Come as you are. We’ll be glad you’re here.
What to Expect
Your first morning with CWOC is meant to feel simple. Come in, find a seat, grab a cup of coffee, and settle in. You’ll find women talking, laughing, catching up, and making room for someone new. You are never expected to walk in already knowing how everything works.
Our gatherings usually include time for fellowship, prayer, and a Bible or faith study, with opportunities throughout the year for service, spiritual enrichment, retreats, pilgrimage, and simply enjoying life together. Some women come every week. Others come when military life, work, children, or travel allow. There is no perfect attendance record required to belong here.
Come As You Are
You do not need to be a certain kind of Catholic to come to CWOC. You may know the Rosary by heart or still be figuring out when to stand and kneel at Mass. You may feel deeply rooted in your faith, be returning after time away, or have questions you’re still working through. None of that disqualifies you from having a seat here.
If walking into a room where you don’t know anyone makes you nervous, you are not the first woman to feel that way. Come anyway. You won’t be expected to introduce yourself to a room full of people or prove that you belong. We’ll simply be glad you came.
A Few Things You May Be Wondering
What Should I Wear?
Come in whatever you would normally wear for your day. You do not need to dress up for CWOC, and there is no special “right” outfit. Some women arrive dressed for work or errands, others more casually. What matters to us is that you came.
Can I Come Alone?
Absolutely. Many women come to CWOC for the first time without knowing anyone in the room. You don’t need to bring a friend or find someone to introduce you. Come in, choose a seat, and give us the chance to welcome you.
Do I Need to Bring Anything?
Just yourself. If we are beginning a particular Bible or faith study, we’ll let you know about any materials that may be helpful, but you never need to arrive perfectly prepared in order to join us.
What About Children?
Military family life doesn’t always come with easy childcare, and we understand that. Children are part of the lives of many women in our community. Because arrangements may vary depending on the gathering, reach out to us before your first visit and we’ll help you know what to expect.
How Do I Find Out When and Where You Meet?
Because we are part of a military community, specific meeting times and locations are shared through our private member communications rather than posted publicly. Reach out through Plan Your Visit, and we’ll make sure you have everything you need before you come.
